Forum Title: Exterior door sill issue - replacing door
I am tearing out the old entry door and was planning on installing a new Therma-tru fiberglass. But I have encountered a major problem, just like every other project in this house. 1. It is a slab level entryway. 2. I found that the slab ends at the interior wall. 3. The sidewalk was poured under the threshold and has a slight run away from the house. 4. There is no water intrusion ridge/lip. Do I need to rip up the sidewalk and install a concrete sill with new sidewalk lowered 1.5 inches for water intrusion? I am looking for a good solution that will be easy and yet still be done correctly. Did I mention I hate this house? I have added pictures of the non-existent sill.

Can you post some pictures? From your description, it might be as simple as tightening the screws in the top hinge.
